Malyasia students in Korakuen

On August 5, 2015, twelve students from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia visited Chuo University’s Korakuen Campus and toured the Faculty of Science and Engineering as a friendly networking event.

The two universities are currently discussing positive opportunities to sign a partnership agreement. Chuo has kept a close relationship with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia through its SEND (Japanese language teaching) program.

At Chuo’s Korakuen Campus, Students majoring in Electrical Engineering toured around 7 research rooms with Chuo students in the Electrical, Electronic, and Communication Engineering Department and Professor Hiroshi Shirai. Our visitors from Malaysia listened to the Chuo faculty members and students giving them an explanation about their research areas.

After the tour, Professor Shirai expressed a heartfelt welcome and hope that Chuo will continue their exchange activities and study together with the students from Malaysia. Professor Shirai also gave a speech introducing the overview of Chuo University, and the Faculty of Science and Engineering. The students from Malaysia also gave a presentation about their research. In the end, there was a networking session with students from both universities.

We look forward to further develop our relationship and bonding between the two universities.
