Track & Field Leaves Great Results

The Emperor’s Cup 82nd All-Japan Intercollegiate Track & Field Championships were held from September 6th (Fri.) to 8th (Sun.) at the National Stadium. Many student-athletes from the Chuo University Men’s/Women’s Track & Field Team advanced to the finals and placed high in their events.

In particular, the men’s team won two relay events (4×100 meters and 4×400 meters). Also, Masafumi Naoki (2nd-year student in the Faculty of Law) won the 200 meters. In winning the men’s 4×100 meters, Chuo runners posted an outstanding time that was only 0.23 second short of a new Japanese collegiate record. There are high hopes that the team will set a new record at the 97th Japan Track & Field Relay Championships which will be held from October 25th (Fri.) to 27th (Sun.) at Nissan Stadium.

Thank you for supporting our athletes!
