Yasushi Kyutoku, Associate Professor of Center for Research and Development Initiatives, won Best Poster Award at the American Psychological Association Convention 2013 held in Honolulu from July 31 to August 4.

Poster Title:

Predicting victim vulnerability using PTS trajectory patterns following the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake

Summary of Research:

The research is in relation to the psychological adaption after the Great East Japan Earthquake. The objective is to identify PTS chronic groups taken from posttraumatic stress patterns of 3, 6, and 12 months after the earthquake, and the results showed that there is a high percentage that the relative groups could be predicted due to environmental factors.
