Iizuka places sixth in Moscow

At the World Championships held in Moscow, Russia, from Saturday August 10 to Sunday August 18, Shota Iizuka (4th year, Faculty of Law) came in sixth place running the anchor of the 400m relay.
Team Japan came in seventh but got bumped up to sixth place after the United Kingdom was disqualified.

Iizuka was the only Japanese runner who passed the first round in the individual 200m race, however he did not make it to the finals.
