Natsumi Watanabe, a former student in the Master's Program for Information and Systems Engineering (who completed the program in 2012) won the Best Paper Award for Young Researcher at the 75th National Convention of the Information Processing Society of Japan (IPSJ). Watanabe received the award in recognition of her thesis entitled “A Proposal of Efficiency Improvement of k-Anonymization Schemes.”

The Best Paper Award for Young Researcher is presented to outstanding young presenters at the National Convention. Eleven presentations were awarded at this year’s presentation. The Award is determined by the committee of the Best Paper Award of IPSJ National Convention and the Best Paper Award for Young Researcher, based on voting by the convention chairperson and general audience members.

The awards ceremony will be conducted at the 76th National Convention, which is scheduled to be held at Tokyo Denki University from Tuesday, March 11th to Thursday, March 13th, 2014.
