Men’s Volleyball Wins Bronze: Universiade
The 27th Universiade is being held at Kazan, Russia from July 6.
Shunsuke Chijiki (2011 graduate, currently at Blazers Sports Club), and Sogo Watanabe (2012 graduate, currently at Panasonic) contributed to the men’s volleyball tournament.
The team played for third place on July 16 and won a straight match taking the Bronze medal against Ukraine, who they previously lost to at the first round.
The men’s volleyball team had not won a medal in the past four Universiade games.
