Student victorious at the Japan Grand Prix Series
The 4th meet of the Japanese Grand Prix Series (Shizuoka International), which also doubled as a qualifier for the world championships, was held at Ecopa Stadium in Shizuoka, and saw Shota Iizuka (Faculty of Law 4th year) of our Track and Field team win the men’s 200m event.
His time of 20.21 seconds was the third fastest ever recorded by a Japanese and a tournament record, and also topped the entry standard A for the world championship (20.52).
