[Swimming Team] Student sets new Japanese record

At the Japan Swim 2013 held at the Daiei Probis Phoenix Pool in Nagaoka, Niigata Prefecture from April 11 (Thu) to14 (Sun), swimming team member Shinri Shioura (Faculty of Law 4th year) set a new Japanese record (22.03) in winning the men's 50m freestyle, also winning the men's 100m freestyle, as well as being selected to world championships team.

Chikage Ishibashi (Faculty of Policy Studies 4th year), Takahiro Tsutsumi (Faculty of Policy Studies 3rd year), and Yuto Sato (Faculty of Law 1st year) were also selected to the Universiade team.
