JASSO's Student of the Year

The following students won the Grand Prize, Excellent Prize and Encouragement Prize in the Sports Category of the Japan Student Services Organization's Student of the Year 2012.

. Grand Prize: Shota Iizuka (Athletics Club), 3rd year student in the Department of Law, Faculty of Law

. Excellent Prize: Chiaki Ishibashi (Swimming Club), 3rd year student in the Department of Policy Sciences, Faculty of Policy Studies

. Encouragement Prize: Tetsuya Tateno (Athletics Club), 3rd year student in the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Commerce

. Encouragement Prize, Shinri Shiora (Swimming Club), 3rd year student in the Department of Law, Faculty of Law

*This is the first time a student from Chuo University has been chosen for the Grand Prize.

The awards ceremony hosted by the Japan Student Services Organization will be held on December 8.

◆ JASSO's Student of the Year

The Student of the Year awards are given to those with outstanding achievements in the fields of science, culture and arts, sports and societal contribution. The awards are intended to encourage students and to contribute to the development of talented people with promising futures who will carry the hopes of the 21st century.

Applications for this award take place through universities. Chuo University accepts applications in July and August every year, so please be sure to apply in the future.
