This year, our university became the first Japanese university to become a member of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF).
The AUF is a sub-organization of the Organisation International de la Francophonie (OIF) and serves as an international network of research institutions at universities and high schools, based on the French language. Currently, there are 781 member institutions from 94 countries. AUF headquarters is located in Montreal, Canada. Actual operation is conducted by 9 regional offices.
Japan conducts activities through the Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (OAP) which is located in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Chuo University participated in the Conference regionale des Recteurs des Universites membres de l'Agence universitaire de la Francophonie en Asie-Pacifique (CONFRASIE) which was held by the OAP on October 2nd and 3rd. At the conference, we introduced our university as a new member.
