Three students and two alumni have been selected as the members of the Japan's national team for the 30th Olympic Games in London. At the send-off ceremony on June 22, 2012 in Tama Campus, over 300 students, staffs, and professors gave them a big boost. The Games will start on July 27, 2012.

Sprinter. Entering 200 meter sprints and 4x100 meter relay.
Born in Shizuoka prefecture on June 25, 1991. After graduation from Fujieda Meisei High School (Shizuoka prefecture), he entered Chuo University.
Now, he is a third-year student in the Department of Law in the Faculty of Law.
[ Tetsuya Tateno ]
Sprinter. Entering 400 meter hurdles.
Born in Ibaraki prefecture on August 5, 1991. After graduation from Ikubunkan High School (private, located in Tokyo), he entered Chuo University. Now, he is a third-year student in the Department of Accounting in the Faculty of Commerce.

Swimmer. Entering 4x200 meter relay (free style).
Born in Fukuoka prefecture on June 22, 1991. After graduation from Higashi Fukuoka High School (Fukuoka prefecture), he entered Chuo University. Now, he is a third-year student in the Department of Policy Sciences in the Faculty of Policy Studies.
