Graduate tops Japanese in Marathon

In the Lake Biwa Mainichi Marathon (starting and finishing at Ojiyama Track & Field Stadium in Otsu) held on March 4th, general participant Ryo Yamamoto (2007 Graduate from Faculty of Law, Sagawa Express Co.) placed fourth as the top Japanese finisher.

He renewed his personal best time by 3 minutes and 26 seconds in an impressive 2 hours 8minutes, 44 seconds and is selected for the team to the Olympic Games, in London.

In his time at Chuo University, Yamamoto belonged to the athletics team, starting three times in the Hakone Ekiden, and as a 4th year student in the 83rd running of the event (2007), finished third in the fifth leg.
