Skating club wins first-ever championship: Japan Collegiate Ice Hockey Tournament

The skating club of the Physical Education League, Chuo University Association of Student Clubs, won its first-ever championship at the 84th Japan Collegiate Ice Hockey Tournament. The tournament was held from January 6th to 9th at Hakucho Arena in Tomokomai City (Hokkaido).

Also, many players received individual awards as listed below.

2nd Round vs. Kansai Gakuin University: 2-0
Quarterfinals vs. Hosei University: 3-1
Semifinals vs. Toyo University: 3-2
Finals vs. Waseda University: 2-2 (1-0 during sudden-death overtime)

The five Chuo athletes listed above were selected for the Best 6 Team.

The Chuo University Skating Club will compete in the 79th All-Japan Ice Hockey Championships to be held from February 6th (Monday) to 12th (Sunday) in Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture.
