Four Research Projects from Chuo University Chosen for Competitive Funding by the A-STEP Program - Exploration Type

The selection results of the Adaptable and Seamless Technology transfer Program through target-driven R&D (A-STEP) have been announced. A-STEP is a competitive funding program offered by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), which is an independent administrative agency. Four research projects from our university have been selected. It is hoped that the results of these research projects will increasingly be able to give back to society.

A-STEP is a technology transfer support program that targets the extensive R&D phase with the aim of realizing the practical application of research results that are created in universities, such as this one. The Exploration Type is designed to be the first step toward practical application and explores the possibilities of practical application from among basic research projects. This year, in the first public offering of this program, there were 4,692 applications from all over the country and of these 1,181 were selected.
