Sota Kawatsura (4th year student in the Faculty of Law) of the Chuo University Student's Association Athletic Federation Track & Field has been chosen to represent Japan (short distance) at the 13th IAAF World Championships held in Taegu, South Korea, from Aug. 27 (Sat.) to Sep. 4 (Sun).

As to Japanese representatives, announcement of athletes by event has not yet been released by Japan Association of Athletic Federations, but he is likely to be entered as a member of men's 4×100m relay on the last day of the championships.
