Sho Fujii, 3rd year student of Haga Laboratory in the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, has had an article published in the American Chemical Society's (ACS) prominent science journal.

Fujii's research involves creating tiny air bubbles (micro-nanobubbles) by exposing the surface of gold thin film to a laser in water solution, and by using the drawing power in the bubbles, accumulates nano-size matter in a ring-shape.
The point here is that when the laser is turned off, the bubbles disappear, so templates aren't used as in traditional accumulation methods.
Using this technology, the word CHUO is floated using luminous nano-particles as seen in the picture.
