Athletics team's Sota Kawatsura (4th year student in the Faculty of Law) and Shota Iizuka (2nd year student in the Faculty of Law) selected to represent Japan at the 19th Asian Athletics Championships
Sota Kawatsura (4th year student in the Faculty of Law) and Shota Iizuka (2nd year student in the Faculty of Law) of the Athletics team have been chosen to represent Japan at the 19th Asian Athletics Championships.
At the 95th Japan Athletics Championships (held at Kumagaya Sports Culture Park in Saitama) from June 10 (Fri) to June 12 (Sun), Kawatsura placed third in the Men's 100m with Iizuka coming in 4th in the Men's 200m, to earn their spots on the Japan team.
The 19th Asian Athletics Championships will be held at Kobe Universiade Memorial Stadium (Hyogo Prefecture) from July 7 (Thu) to July 10 (Sun). Kawatsura will run in the Men's 100m (July 7 (Thu)) and Iizuka in the Men's 200m (July 9 (Sat)).
