Shinri Shioura (2nd year student in the Faculty of Law) and Yohei Takiguchi (1st year student in the Faculty of Law) of Swimming Team selected to represent Japan at the 26th Universiade.

Shinri Shioura (2nd year student in the Faculty of Law) and Yohei Takiguchi (1st year student in the Faculty of Law) of the Chuo University Swimming Team have been selected to represent Japan at the 26th Universiade held in Shenzen, China on August 12-23.

Both swimmers participated in the recent Japan Open 2011 (50m) held at the Namihaya Dome, Osaka on May 20-22. Shioura placed 2nd in the men's 50m freestyle and Takiguchi in 2nd in the men's 1500m freestyle. There are high expectations for the two swimmers to perform well at the Universiade.

Furthermore, Kenji Kobase of the Sun Nagara Swimming Club who graduated from the Chuo University Faculty of Law in March 2010, won the men's 100m freestyle at the Japan Open 2011 (50m) and was also selected to represent Japan.
