Haruo Kasama appointed 26th Attorney General, with Yoshinobu Onuki becoming Superintending Prosecutor of the Tokyo High Public Prosecutor's Office

Former Superintending Prosecutor of the Tokyo High Public Prosecutor's Office Haruo Kasama (1970 Graduate from the Faculty of Law) has been appointed as the 26th Attorney General with former Superintending Prosecutor of the Nagoya High Public Prosecutor's Office Yoshinobu Onuki (1973 Graduate from the Graduate School) taking up Kasama's previous post.

This is the first postwar graduate of a private university to be appointed attorney general, and the first Chuo University graduate in 75 years, since the term of Raizaburo Hayashi (former Chuo University President) in 1932-1935.
