Norihito Tanbo, Professor of Center for Research and Development Initiatives presented the IWA Presidential Award
At the International Water Association's (IWA) 2010 World Water Congress held in Montreal Canada on September 19-24, professor of Center for Research and Development Initiatives, Norihito Tanbo, was presented with the honor of the IWA Presidential Award.
Tanbo has contributed to the foundation of IWA and served as president. His influence on professionals from not only Japan, but all over Asia and the rest of the world in the fields of population issues, water resources and hydraulics, and the results he has produced over the years are behind his receiving of this award.
Tanbo is continuing as chairman of the Japan Domestic Committee, IWA's Japanese window, and is currently vice-president of the Japan Water Forum, energetically trying to find solutions for global water issues.
