Track and Field's Shota Iizuka (1st Year Student in the Faculty of Law) Wins Gold (Men's 200m) at the 13th World Junior Athletic Championships

Shota Iizuka (1st year student in the Faculty of Law) of the track and field club of the Physical Education League, Association of Student Clubs, Chuo University, won the men's 200 meter gold medal at the seven day 13th World Junior Athletics Championships held in Moncton, Canada from July 19 to July 25.

This is the first time a Japanese has won a men's short distance event at the World Junior Athletics Championships.

Men's 200m Final 20.67s (Winner・Gold Medal)

As of July 23, Iizuka also holds the fastest time of the season of men's 200 meter world junior (20.58 s at the 26th Shizuoka International Athletic meet held on May 3)
