Miyabi Tago (4th year student at the Faculty of Law) of the Women's Track Team Selected to Represent Japan (Women's 400m Hurdles) at the 16th Asian Games.

Miyabi Tago (4th year student at the Faculty of Law) from women's track team of Chuo University, has been selected to represent Japan in the women's 400m hurdles event at the 16th Asian Games to be held in Guangzhou, China on November 12 - 27.

In September of last year, Tago won the same event at the 78th Inter-University Athletics Championships, as well as capturing the gold medal at the 5th East Asian Games held in Hong Kong in December.

Note: The release of squad member names was made by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations. An official announcement of the squad will be made at the board meeting of the Japan Olympic Committee (JOC).

<About the Asian Games>

The Asian Games is an international, multi-event tournament organized by the Olympic Council of Asia every four years. 45 countries and regions are expected to participate in 473 events from 42 disciplines.

The Asian Games is regarded by the JOC as one of its major focuses after the Olympic Games.
