In April 2010, Chuo University will open Ichigaya Tamachi Campus Middle Bridge in Ichigaya Tamachi in Shinjuku Ward.
This campus is located in a prime location situated a 1 minute walk from Tokyo Metro Ichigaya Station on the Nanboku and Yuraku-cho Lines, and 5 minutes from Ichigaya Station on the JR Sobu Line and Toei Subway Shinjuku Line. The name Middle Bridge represents its role as a bridge to the English legal training institution Middle Temple, where Chuo's founding fathers learned 125 years ago, as well as being the University's base at the forefront of the central city and a bridge among students, faculty staff and alumni.
Middle Bridge will act as a functional link between Central City and Tama Campus with the aim of giving Chuo University a more open appeal to the community. General information will be placed at the entrance where you can see any information on Chuo University, and it will function as a community center for students who need job search consultations and alumni and as a consultation office for prospective students and parents of Chuo University's junior and senior high schools and university.
Starting with a complete relocation of the accounting school, legal training facility and Graduate School of Public Policy from Ichigaya Campus, this facility will also play host to a general information office acting as a window for the central city graduate school for humanities, correspondence division, public relation office, enrollment center and career center, as well as a library room, communication center and management and administration facility.
