Shuji Hisano, Chair, Board of Regents of Chuo University Has Received the Cuban Amicable Order

Shuji Hisano, Chair, Board of Regents of Chuo University, has received the Cuban Amicable Order from the National Council of the Republic of Cuba.

Hisano has contributed to maintaining the amicable relation with Cuba, getting involved in PR activities to disseminate real situation in Cuba through mutual relationship and supports for Cuban people, and also promoting economic trade activities for the long years. His outstanding achievements have given him a high reputation and brought him this order.

He also participated in the 12th Joint Convention of JCEC in Havana as Vice-Chairperson of Japan-Cuba Economic Conference (JCEC) in Dec. 2003, to develop the amicable relation between Japan and Cuba. He is also one of the highly-respected Japanese people in Cuba through his contributions to the development of the trade of sugar, the main agricultural product in the Republic of Cuba, and medical and biological products, etc. This is one of the reasons for the order.

The ceremony for the amicable order was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Japan on Fri., Feb. 19, 2010.
