Europe Day (anniversary of the founding of the European Union (EU)) is commemorated on May 9 every year, and the EU-Japan Friendship Week events for friendship and mutual understanding between Japan and the EU are held throughout the country with cooperation from the Delegation of the European Union to Japan and partner organizations and groups. The Chuo University International Documents Room, one of the 19 European Info Centres established at Japanese universities, will host the EU Children’s Book Exhibition and customary EU Quiz.
