Information session on new technology held by 3 universities in Bunkyo-ku [cosponsored by the Faculty of Science and Engineering Graduate School]

An information session on new technology will be held to announce patents (including unreleased patents) which were developed by Chuo University and have the possibility of licensing. The session will be held through cooperation with the Japan Science and Technology Agency, as well as with Ochanomizu University and Toyo University, two universities possess functional headquarters for intellectual property. Both of the universities are located within Bunkyo-ku together with Chuo University.

An information session emphasizing practical application will be conducted by faculty who invented the technology and focuses on the fields of life science, the environment and energy from within research seeds of the 3 universities. The session is intended for corporate professionals and will promote wide recruiting of joint research partners and corporations who will apply the new technology.

The following three technologies will be announced by Chuo University.

Method of superficial accumulation using micro-sized air bubbles occurring during laser induction
(Professor Masaaki Haga, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Department of Applied Chemistry)

Freezing of food products using ice for equalization of electric load and modular shifting
(Professor Koji Matsumoto, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Department of Precision Mechanics)

Solid material which absorbs carbon gas and possesses self-heating functionality
(Professor Katsuyoshi Oh-ishi, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Department of Applied Chemistry)
