Six days of deep exchange with foreign universities

Exchange student support program hosted by the Faculty of Education and Integrated Arts and Sciences

Presentation on social media by Korea University students

For six days from November 7 an exchange program with the London University Institute of Education and Korea University was held at the Faculty of Education and Integrated Arts and Sciences, which manages one of the 34 programs from Waseda selected for this year's Japan Student Services Association "Overseas Student Exchange Support System." This is a program where graduate students and some undergraduate students from the participating schools stay on site and study how to respond to the progressing globalization in the field of education.

28 students from London and Korea Universities and Waseda students, after deepening relations on a campus tour and welcoming party, attended a "round-table discussion" where they shared knowledge on a set theme from their own major. From the presentations to question and answer sessions, opinions were positively exchanged in English. A participating Korea University student gave his impressions by stating, "I actively took questions ranging from the theme of my presentation to cultural background differences. It was a meaningful exchange of opinions." Looking back at the program as a whole, many commented, "I'm even more interested in overseas exchange now," and valuable exchanges took place.
