Waseda sport, great achievements

Winning the University Cup in Soccer (female) and Ice hockey

Full smile with the victory cup

There was the final match of the 18th Japan University Cup for Women’s Soccer on January 6 at the National Stadium. The Waseda Univesity Women’s Association Football Club has beaten the Kanagawa University 2 to 1 and won the second victory after four years. All players performed to their best to revenge the last year’s defeat at the final match.

Exploded in joy of victory

On January 9, there was the final match of the 82th Japan Ice Sports Competetion among Students at the Nikko Kirifuri Ice Arena. The Waseda Ice Hockey Team of Skating Club has beaten the Meiji University 4 to 1 and won the 14th victory after 19 years. With the team slogan of “Focus on fighting as a team,” the Team reached the great goal.

In addition to the above, other sport clubs had achieved great results. The following is a list of the inter-university competitions where our clubs won the victory after autumn of last year.
