Further strengthening of relationships with Taiwanese society

Opening of the Waseda University Taipei International Exchange Center

On July 17th, 2008, the Waseda University Taipei International Exchange Center was opened in the city of Taipei. The center is intended to further promote scholastic exchange, educations activities, and research activities in Taiwan.

Waseda University has already conducted agreements for scholastic exchange with a number of prestigious universities and industrial technology institutes in Taiwan. On both sides of these agreements, an environment has been created for the promotion of joint research, the implementation of joint education, and the acceptance of foreign exchange students. In an Asia region that is now experiencing truly great changes, Waseda has established the Taipei International Exchange Center in order to further strengthen our relationship with Taiwanese society.
